Chemical peeling

Neostrata

We typically recommend chemical peeling to persons with photodamaged skin (wrinkled skin, prominent hyperpigmentation, wide pores, poor skin texture or uneven complexion), as well as to persons with oily skin and acne scars. Chemical peeling gives the face a youthful, fresh appearance.

Chemical peeling is the process of removing the surface layer of the skin. Aside from rejuvenating the skin and removing the wrinkles, it promotes the production of collagen in the skin. This makes the rejuvenating effect more powerful, ever-present and permanent.

Here at Xenia Doctors Centar, we apply NeoStrata peeling using 100% free glycolic acid in 4 different solutions, as well as Exuviance Booster and peeling.

These are the advantages of these chemical peelings:

  • safe and precise application,
  • side effects reduced to a minimum,
  • faster recovery.

An excellent solution for the fall

Chemical peeling is an excellent solution for the fall if you are looking to speed up the process of skin recovery following summer challenges using deep exfoliation. Two major American brands have two different types of peeling: surface and deep peeling. The choice depends on your skin.

For complete repair of the epidermal layer and reduction of visible signs of aging and photodamaged skin, as well as for enhancement of skin tone and shine, chemical peelings are recommended.

The most modern method of chemical peeling is alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) which are naturally found in fruits, sour milk, and sugar cane. The most well-know is glycolic acid which yields the best peeling results because it has the smallest molecule and penetrates the skin at the deepest level. Treatments with AHA acids yield guaranteed results, are safe to use and not toxic. They can be applied to the face, cleavage, chest, back, neck or arms and adapted to the type and color of the skin.

This treatment is ideal for the treatment of acne, rejuvenation, enhancing the structure and skin tone, reduction of pores, removal of pigment irregularities and skin impurities. The peeling should be performed continuously (6-8 treatments, once every 3-4 weeks). Combined with an appropriate home skincare routine, it causes the collagen and elastic fibers to be replenished, makes the skin more firm and considerably improves complexion.
